Since 1951, the Junior League of Gainesville-Hall County has been deeply rooted in a shared mission: to make our community a better, stronger place- especially for women and children. We are a passionate group of women volunteers dedicated to promoting service, developing the potential of women, and creating lasting, positive change in Gainesville-Hall County.

Over the years, we’ve had the honor of helping launch impactful programs like Gateway Domestic Violence Center, Edmondson-Telford Child Advocacy Center, WomenSource, and The Diaper Bank of North Georgia. These efforts are the result of our belief that when women come together in service, real and meaningful change happens.

This year, we’re continuing to focus on programs and initiatives that drive our Impact Goals- goals that speak to the most urgent needs we see around us:

• Feeding Our Future works hand-in-hand with local public schools and the Georgia Mountain Food Bank to fight food insecurity. We aim to serve 250 families in our school-based pantries this year.
• The Diaper Bank of North Georgia partners with local agencies to meet a growing need for diapers in our community. Our goal this year is to distribute 375,000 diapers—an increase made possible by increased funding, diaper need awareness, and expanding our partnerships.
• Done In A Day Grants connects our League volunteers with nonprofit partners for short-term, high-impact service projects. We hope to collectively serve 300 volunteer hours this year.
• Literacy for Hall is our newest initiative that will launch Summer 2025. We hope to provide community members with resources that will help increase the literacy rate in Hall County. We hope to do this by giving out 3,000 books, create a Literacy Resource Guide, and host at least 3 character readings for children.
• Signature Grant is our largest grant program and is awarded every 5 years. This year, we will award $75,000 to local nonprofit organizations advancing our mission to improve the lives of women and children.
