President’s Message
Dear Members, Partners, and Friends of the Junior League of Gainesville-Hall County,

As I fulfill my term as President of the Junior League of Gainesville-Hall County, I do so with a full heart—and a clear intention: to lead with vision, to serve with purpose, and to honor the legacy of the women who built the foundation we stand on today.
This milestone year- our 75th anniversary– is more than a celebration. It’s a powerful opportunity to reflect, to re-engage, and to rise to the moment with bold commitment. At the center of it all are three guiding priorities that will shape our work this League year: Membership, Outreach, and Purpose.
Membership: Strengthening the Heart of Our League
Our members are our greatest strength. This year, we’re investing in one another—with intentional mentorships, meaningful connection points, and joyful moments of celebration that honor every stage of the League journey. Whether you’re a new member finding your place or a sustaining member reflecting on years of service, we want you to feel seen, supported, and deeply valued. Together, we’ll remind each other: you are never alone in this work.
Outreach: Expanding Our Impact in the Community
As we approach our 75th year, we’re stepping more boldly into our community—louder, prouder, and more present than ever before. Our story deserves to be told, and our presence deserves to be felt.
This year’s community impact goals reflect that boldness:
- Feeding Our Future: In partnership with local schools and the Georgia Mountain Food Bank, we will serve 250 families through school-based food pantries.
- Diaper Bank of North Georgia: We aim to distribute 375,000 diapers, growing both our capacity and our partnerships to meet this critical need.
- Done In A Day Grants: Through short-term, high-impact volunteer projects, our members will contribute 300 service hours to nonprofits and schools in our region.
- Literacy for Hall: Launching this summer, our newest initiative will tackle literacy by distributing 3,000 books, developing a Literacy Resource Guide, and hosting three children’s character readings.
- Signature Grant: In 2026, we will award a $75,000 grant to a local nonprofit that aligns with our mission of improving the lives of women and children.
Each of these initiatives allows us to be more than just present in the community—we become a vital part of its progress.
Purpose: Building a League That Lasts
We are not only growing outward—we’re growing inward, too. With intention, we’re refining our systems, aligning our processes with our values, and creating a League structure that supports both sustainability and meaning. Every decision we make is grounded in purpose—ensuring that our time, talent, and resources create lasting change.
This work isn’t just my plan for the year—it’s a love letter to our League’s future. I enter this role with reverence for the women who came before me, and a deep responsibility to those who will follow. One poem that has anchored me throughout this journey is Legacy by Rupi Kaur:
i stand
on the sacrifices
of a million women before me
thinking
what can i do
to make this mountain taller
so the women after me
can see farther
To me, this is what leadership in the Junior League is all about: honoring the strength behind us, rising to the moment before us, and doing the work to lift others higher.
Thank you for trusting me to serve as your 75th President. I am humbled by this honor and energized by the road ahead. Here’s to the year we will build together—with intention, impact, and heart.
To where we’ve been, and to where we’re headed.
May the work we do be as beautiful as the women who do it.
With passion and purpose,
Abigail Vandiver Loggins
President, 2025–2026
