The Junior League of Gainesville-Hall County is an organization of women committed to promoting volunteerism, developing the potential of women and improving the community through the effective action of leadership of trained volunteers. The Junior League of Gainesville-Hall County reaches out to women of all races, religion and national origin who demonstrate an interest in and a commitment to volunteerism. We are committed to being a significant force in improving the lives of children and families in our community through our programs focused on the importance of proper nutrition, making healthy lifestyle choices and alleviating childhood hunger.
Women who are interested in joining the Junior League of Gainesville-Hall County must be:
- a minimum of 22 years old
- live in Hall County or a surrounding county for a minimum of 6 months.
Applications are accepted year-round. We will start new member cohorts in September & January of each year.

The application process is as follows:
- Application to be completed in its entirety and returned as requested.
- Before accepting the Invitation to membership, the prospective member shall have received an overview in the privileges and responsibilities of League membership and shall agree to engage in community service in connection with the program of this League.
- Upon review of the application forms, the Recruitment Director will issue invitations for membership to each qualifying applicant.
- You will receive an invitation for membership and start your membership of the league in the upcoming cohort of provisional members (Spring & Fall Annually).

Q: What are the commitments like your first year of membership?
A: General Membership meetings are held monthly from September to May of each year. Provisional Member meetings (New Members) will have monthly meetings in addition to the General membership meetings for their first 5 months in the League. This allows you to get better oriented to Junior League Gainesville-Hall County (JLGHC) and network with your provisional member class! In addition to these meetings, it is expected for members to plug into service projects & social activities hosted by JLGHC. The League operates on a points system allowing members to serve in areas that are the most meaningful to them!
Q: How much does it cost to be a member of the Junior League Gainesville Hall County?
A: Provisional Member Dues (first year) are $350 for the Fall Cohort, and $175 for the Spring Cohort. Fall Cohort dues includes two tickets to Charity Ball. Fall and Spring Cohort dues aid in our Community Outreach division, dues to AJLI, and a ticket to May Dinner. Annual dues after the first year of membership are $300.

A: Joining Junior League of Gainesville-Hall County (JLGHC) allows you to invest in community service, meaningful relationships with likeminded women and leadership development opportunities. The League is committed to serving the Hall County community and developing strong female leaders in our community!
Q: Do I need to know someone in the League to join?
A: No! We pride ourselves in being open and inclusive to all women in our community. If you are interested in giving back, building relationships, and developing yourself, Junior League is for you!
